If you’ve even been in the parking lot of Vannucci field (The ball fields next to Beechview’s Spray Park, right down the hill from the Community Garden and Beechwood Elementary) you might have seen the signs that say “Seldom Seen Greenway” on the fence. If you walk through the break in the fence, you’ll find yourself surrounded by forest on a short trail that leads to Crane Ave.
This trail has existed since before Beechview was named Beechview, and once went through the farmstead of of the Lao family. PUB helped clean this section of trail back in April, but there is much more work to do. Please enjoy the trail as it is now, but keep your eyes open for our family friendly trail-work days if you’d like to be even more involved.
