My husband and I were extremely excited to move to Beechview. As we walked the neighborhood, we knew this was the place for us and we couldn’t wait to become a part of the community. One of the first spots we noticed were the billboard gardens. As we passed by I was sad to see the overgrowth and said to my husband that I wanted to clean it up.
Fast forward a few months and I had the opportunity to meet three wonderful ladies: Marya Pittaway, Heather McClain, and Denise Whetzel. These women were dedicated to revitalizing the community group, Pretty Up Beechview (P.U.B) whose goal was to beautify the neighborhood and inspire a sense of environmental stewardship.
Thanks to them I’ll get to clean-up that garden on May 22nd! Please join us!
